Purpose of Reading

Reading is an essential part of our education - indeed of everyday life. It raises the level of practical skills, improves our judgment, helps us choose and pursue a career, and heightens our conversational abilities, as well as being a pleasure in itself.
The main aims are:
1. to instil in students the habit of reading
2. to enhance students' knowledge
3. to develop a positive attitude towards reading
4. to encourage student to use the materials as a stepping stone to reading by themselves-both for academic purpose and for pleasure
5. to enhance the students' vocabulary
6. to enable students to thrive in a wrold of increasingly sophisticated technology and to purpose a successful career
